The trail climbs steadily uphill, crossing Lincoln Creek, and eventually ends at a clearing. You can also find places to rest and have a picnic after a tiring day of climbing.

Hikers and backpackers alike should visit the mountains and trails surrounding Aspen. There are family-friendly campsites and hiking trails, and you can even do some whitewater rafting in the rivers. The area is home to many streams and lakes that are ideal for paddle-boarding and canoeing.
